“FUEL AND ENERGY COMPLEX OF UKRAINE: THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE” INTERNATIONAL SPECIALIZED EXHIBITION
“POWER ENGINEERING FOR UKRAINIAN INDUSTRY – 2008” The VI International Forum “Fuel and Energy Complex of Ukraine: the Present and the Future” took place on September 24-26, 2008 in the territory of the International Exhibition Centre, (15 Brovarsky Ave, Kyiv, Ukraine) Forum took place according to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine’s decree ¹ 570-p from 10.08.2004 and ¹ 1026-p from 30.07.2008.

The ceremony of the opening began with the greeting of the Prime-Minister of Ukraine Julia Timoshenko. Forum was held according to structure:
International specialized exhibition “Power Engineering for Ukrainian Industry - 2008” with participation of 286 enterprises, organizations and companies from Ukraine and foreign countries, which displayed the production and services for power engineering, oil and gas and coal industries, power economies almost all industries: machine-building, metallurgical, chemical, food, housing and communal services, transport, the agroindustrial complex etc. Geography of participants:

Business program was organized by Ministry of fuel and energy of Ukraine, Committee of the Verhovna Rada in the issues of the Fuel and Energy Sector, nuclear policy and nuclear safety, National Joint Stock Energy Generating Company “Energoatom”, National Joint Stock Company “Energy company of Ukraine”, Scientific-technical association of energy workers and electricians of Ukraine. All events were held on the high presentation layer with the assistance of heads of the branch, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Verhovna Rada of Ukraine, ministers and departments, participants of the exhibition. Session dedicated to the opening of the Forum under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Minister Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine O. Bugayov, questions of state and perspective of the near future development of: energy, nuclear industry, hydro-power energy, alternative energy, oil and gas industry were viewed during the session. The round table was held in the frameworks of the event “The day of the nuclear power engineering”, according to the traditions it was organized by NJSEC “Energoatom” together with Russian company OJSC “TVEL”, with the assistance of OJSC “Atomenergoprom” (Russia). Wide range of questions concerning Russian-Ukrainian collaboration in the field of nuclear power engineering and industry were discussed during the round table. Conference “Investments in the power engineering: legislative and normative conditions for private companies. State and perspective of the development and using nontraditional and renewable source of power engineering in Ukraine” under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Minister of Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine O. Bugayov Round table “Actual questions of the preparation of electric nets of the Ukrainian cities for the holding of the final part of the football championship of Europe 2012”, under the chairmanship of the deputy Minister of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine V. Luchnikova Scientific and technical conference: “Man-caused and ecological safety problems of the objects of the fuel and energy complex", joint action of the Department of the strategic policy and perspective development of the FEC of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine and Institute of environment geochemistry of NAS of Ukraine and Ministry of Ukraine of emergencies and affairs of population protection from the consequences of Chernobyl catastrophe. Subsection’s extended session of the Scientific and Technical Council of Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine “Standardization and metrology”, with the participation of heads and specialists of metrology services of Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine, NJSC “Neftegaz of Ukraine”, NJSEC “Energoatom”, NEC “Ukrenergo”, Institute “Energoperspektiva”, state enterprise “Ukrmetrteststandart” and participants of the exhibition – producers and suppliers of diagnostic, control and measuring equipment.
