Exhibition area of the Industrial Forum this year made 24 000 square meters (3 pavilions of the IEC). Over 500 companies from 26 countries presented 659 units of machinery, particularly 321 metal-working machine. It is a pleasure to admit that certain part of machinery was sold immediately at the exhibition. The number of visitors made up 14 867 people.

National expositions of Turkish Republic was organized at the exhibition.

Special exposition Galvanics

Brand-new products of domestic machine-building plants were traditionally displayed at the Forum, in particular: Kiev Machine-Tool Building Plant OJSC, Mikron OJSC (Odesa), Starokonstantinovsky Press and Forging Equipment Plant OJSC, Zaporozhsky Abrasive Plant JSC, Verstatotechmash OJSC (Sumy), Chip Private Enterprise (Novovolynsk) and others.

Special interested was paid to exhibits of representatives of such European machine-building companies as: Hermle WWE AG, Alfleth Engineering AG, Galika AG, Bystronic Laser AG, Weber Comechanics, Lang Maschinenbau GmbH&CO KG, Knuth Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH and many others.

For the first time at a Ukrainian exhibition almost 700 sq. m. was devoted to machinery of Japanese leading brands, such as Yamazaki Mazak Trading Corp, Mori Seiki, Okuma, Sodick Company, THK, Japan Tool Service. It evoke great interest among big machine-building enterprises of Ukraine.

Extended and sound (almost 300 sq. m. each) were expositions of Ukrainian dealers, such as: Association "SFERA", Kiev, Abplanalp-Ukraine, Kiev, Batex Ltd, Kiev, Galsoft-Service LTD, Lvov, Contact JSC, Dnepropetrovsk, Stan-Komplekt JV, Kiev.

International Industrial Forum truly became the leading exhibition in Ukraine for hard-alloyed tools. Beside steady exhibitors, like Sandvik Coromant, Seco AA, Iscar, Guehring OHG, Mitsubishi Carbide and Stankoinstrumentimport, such companies as Pramet Tools s.r.o., Nuova C.U.M.E.T. SRL etc. took part in the Forum for the first time this year.

For the forst time within the bounds of Forum special exposition "Galvanics" took place, and it comprised a conflux of world-famous names.

For the fist time within the Industrial Forum special exposition UKRBEARING took place. Before this year bearing suppliers could be met separately at different specialized exhibitions, but International Industrial Forum - 2006 gathered a prominent range of brands, namely: INA - Schaeffler KG, Igus GmbH, Irbis Trading House, Galpodshipnik Trading House, EBC - Ukraine Trading House, Interpodshipnik and others. This leaves no doubt that this list will grow year after year and customers for bearings will include the Forum into their schedule of exhibitions for visiting.

UKRWELDING

Especially vivid and successful both for exhibitors and visitors, was specialized exhibition "UkrWelding". It grew practically by a third in comparison with the last year. Beside the names, which have become customary for "UkrWelding": Zont OJSC, Donmet Ltd, Putek Ltd, MKT Ltd, Fronius-Ukraine JSC, for the first time at the Industrial Forum Representative office of ESAB in Ukraine, Vistek Ltd, We R.Supply Ltd and others presented their products.

UKRPROMAUTOMATION

Among participants were Ukrainian and foreign manufacturers, dealers and distributors of famous companies. Wide assortment of equipment for industrial automation, as well as variety of attendant engineering services, were presented at the exhibition. Among most active and steady participants of the exhibition - KSK-Automation, Hollit Data Systems, Ascon-Complex Solutions Group of companies, Siemens Ukraine Subsidiary, SV Altera, Sofit-Lux, Remiks, Mikronlogistik, MikRa, State Research and Production Corporation "Kyiv Institute of Automatics", Regmik etc. For the forst time among the exhibitors were: Promsat, Information Systems, APM s.c.- representative of EASSON company in poland and in Ukraine, Ukrainian and German enterprise "Dr. Klashka GmbH", Promprylad, Promit, Central Energy-Service company "Esco-Center" and others. Information and technical magazine "PiCAD" was the general information sponsor of the exhibition. II research and practical conference "Technical Solutions for Production Automation Systems" took place within the business program of the exhibition.

PATTERNS, STANDARDS, ETALONS, INSTRUMENTS

73 enterprises presented products of more than 135 manufacturers from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Great Britain, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Poland, USA, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Japan. This year's exhibition differed much from the last year's event in hight level of booth presentations, wide range of equipment and devices for practically all fields of industry. About 700 units of controlling and measuring instruments, instruments for uqality testing and control, metrological and gaging equipment, diagnostic equipment and devices for non-destructive control and technical diagnostics were dispayed at the exhibition. At the booths of weight measuring and laboratory equipment the new developments of domestic and foreign manufacturers were displayed - and many of them were sold at the exhibition.

Traditionally the exposition of State Committee for Technical Regulation and Consumer Policy of Ukraine enterprises was made up by 16 regional standardization, metrology and certification centers, State Enterprise Scientific Research Institute "Systema" and Ukrainian Educational R&D Center of Standardization, Certification and Quality State Enterprise, which displayed the whole spectrum of works and services in the sphere of standardization, certification of goods and services and technical regulation. Regional centers of standardization, metrology and certification of Vinnitsa, Lugansk, Donetsk and Odessa organized expositions of production included into State register of measuring means accepted for elploitation in Ukraine.

The business program of the Forum included: -scientific and practical seminar "Non-Destructive Testing Technologies for Industrial Objects Based on Phase Systems of RHC, Radiographics and Vibrodiagnostics" (organized by the Ukrainian Society of Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics); -seminar "Innovation Plate-Measuring Technologies "Carl Zeiss" for Modern Manufacture" (with presentation of ACCURA technology of Zeiss company). Carl Zeiss Ltd demonstrated possibilities of industrial measuring machine, which could be used at factories and laboratories; -conference of UkrVaga Association members.

HYDRAULICS. PNEUMATICS. BEARINGS

Hydraulics, pneumatics, compressor equipment, reducers and drives were presented at more than 70 booths (42 booths in 2006). This can be estimated as the dynamic development of the exhibition.

Special interest of visitors was paid to the only in Ukraine specialized exhibition "Bearings".

Number, good quality and variety of the exhibits displayed under famous brands - Camocci Pneumatics JSC, Sew-Eurodrive Ltd, Schaeffler KG Representative office, Bosh Rexroth Representative ofiice, as well as by young developing companies, every year attract attention to the exhibition "Hydraulics. Pneumatics".

HOISTING AND TRANSPORTING, STOREHOUSE EQUIPMENT

It is a pleasure to admit that during the years of its functioning the exhibition has formed its own base of participants, which constantly grows and extends. It is significant, that permanent participants consider it not only an operating exhibition, but also an image event.

INDUSTRIAL SAFETY

A separate exposition within the Forum was devoted to specialized exhibition "Industrial Safety", under support of State Department on Labor Protection and Mining Supervision of Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine.

The latest developments in the domain of individual and collective protection means were demonstrated by domestic manufacturers: Temio Ltd, Kiev, Spetsmach JSC, Kiev oblast, Protek Research and Production Company Ltd, Kiev, Lube Misto Spetsodiag Ltd, Kiev, Complect company, Odessa, Prof-Modern group of companies, Lutsk, Antal Ltd, Kiev and others.

In addition to all mentioned above we shall say a few words about extended program of seminars and conferences held within the bounds of the Forum.

Annual conference organized by Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine "New Technologies in Machine Building Industry" was held during 2 days and traditionally attracted rapt attention of professionals from leading machine-building companies of Ukraine. Beside the conference, in the first day of the Forum in the Big Hall of International Exhibition Center Collegium of Ministry of Industrial Policy was held, and after it - Council of Ukrainian machine-tool building enterprises' chairpersons, which takes place on the first day of the exhibition for the fifth time.

Close cooperation between state bodies and domestic manufacturers together with the best for present in Ukraine organizational and technical facilities of International Exhibition Center gave the majority of visitors and participants a possibility to approve that the exhibition was duly constituted and lived up to the expectations invested in it.
