REPORT ON THE RESULTS OF
ІІ INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR OILGASEXPO '2017

On November 7-9, 2017 at the International Exhibition Center, the largest Ukrainian expocenter, the II International Trade Fair "OILGASEXPO '2017" was held.
The organizer is the International Exhibition Center, by support of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine.
Every year domestic oil and gas industry rapidly changes, becomes more modern, competitive and efficient. Now the industry faces important and ambitious targets: to provide Ukraine with gas from its own deposiys and to save and develop the transit potential. It is impossible to achieve these goals without introduction of new effective technologies, equipment and services presented by domestic and foreign companies within the framework of the trade fair "OILGASEXPO '2017".
The event has passed within the frames of the XV International Forum "Fuel and Energy Complex of Ukraine: the Present and the Future" together with the XV International Trade Fair "Power Engineering for Industry '2017" and the II International Trade Fair for Mining Industry "MINING INDUSTRY EXPO '2017" on the exhibition area about 7.5 thousand sq.m.
On November 7 in the opening ceremony of the XV International Forum "Fuel and Energy Complex of Ukraine: the Present and the Future" and the International trade fairs "Power Engineering for Industry '2017", "OILGASEXPO '2017" and "MINING INDUSTRY EXPO '2017" the following guests took part:

Galina Karp noted the importance of the Forum for demonstrating the achievements of domestic power engineering and discussing plans for further development. Also she mentioned that year the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine had got a lot of developments, in particular, the normative legal base for formation of gas and electricity markets was worked out.
"The Forum is the opportunity to gather the best practices, discuss current issues of the fuel and energy sector, identify priority tasks and find effective ways to implement them", - the First Deputy Minister said and wished the participants fruitful work.
On behalf of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine profile committee the participants were congratulated by Oleksandr Dombrovski. He emphasised that the world had been changing fast and the key message that it had changed was the innovative model of any country. "Therefore innovations, clean energy, modern technologies are the things that Ukraine needs today and these are here today", - O. Dombrovski noted.
Thanks to the price liberalization, the introduction of European standards, the domestic oil and gas market has received a significant impetus for development that has had a positive impact on quantitative and qualitative indicators of the trade fair "OILGASEXPO". So this year's event was attended by 79 enterprises, 10 of which were represented by companies from Canada, Belarus, Poland and Czech Republic.
The first time in Ukraine at the trade fair Ukrainian‑Belarusian joint venture BTF‑coiltubing presented the new coiled tubing plant by 2017 release.
In general, their services and equipment for exploration, drilling, exploitation of oil and gas wells were presented by Dynomax Drilling Tools Inc., Drill‑Tek Mwd Services Ltd, McCoy Global, EPСO Solutions Inc. (Canada), Geopartner Sp. z o.o. (Poland), Burova Technika, Navicom Energy, Karat‑Burservice, Ukrburservice DC, Ukrnaftagazservіs, NOV‑FIDMASH (Belarus), etc.
Compressor stations, gas‑pumping and gas turbine units, unique types of chemical equipment, centrifuges, pump, pneumatic, heat‑exchange equipment, hydraulic tools and many other products were offered to the visitors by the largest domestic enterprises - Sumy NPO, Nasosenergomash Sumy JSC, SРСUЕ RPA, PO UNITED PRODUCTIONS, АСТ‑Master, Ekvives, SENSI, Khimmashneftegaz and others.
Interesting and rich by the samples of valves and equipment for industrial piping systems were the stands of ABO Valve s.r.o. (Czech Republic), Konotop Valve Plant, Kyiv Central Design Bureau of Valves, Contact, Techprilad Engineering.
Integrated diagnostic tools, measuring equipment and automation for oil and gas industry were presented by the following exhibitors: GMR GAS s.r.o (Czech Republic), SORBEX Bogusław Soremski, PPHU (Poland), KROHNE Ukraine, Eaton Electric, ORION SIE, Sambir Instrumental Plant Omega, etc.
The scientific and research potential of the sector was presented by Poltava National Technical Yuri Kondratyuk University, Ivano‑Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Scientific and Research Institute of Oil and Gas Industry, Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC.
Power and electrical equipment, control systems for the oil and gas industry were presented by Schneider Electric, RPE NKEMZ, Plant of Large Electrical Machines, WM Ukraine, Programmed Technical Systems and others.
During the Forum and trade fairs working days there were registered more than 5 000 specialists, the representatives of the enterprises of the fuel and energy complex and other sectors of industrial production.
At the same time in the other pavilions of IEC there were the trade fairs devoted to the introduction of energy‑efficient and environmentally friendly technologies into industry, construction and modernization of water supply and drainage systems. Due to such format the number of specialists of the related industries that visited the events amounted was more than 13 000 people.
On November 7 the II Kyiv Conference "DRILLING. WELL STIMULATION. ECOLOGY AND OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY" was held.
The organizers - Oil and Gas Consulting Centre NEWFOLK, supported by International Exhibition Centre.
The conference was held in the format of three sections:
- Strategy of the Ukrainian oil service market development;
- Tactics of the Ukrainian oil service market development;
- Fastening and completion of wells.
The special guest of the event Oleg Prokhorenko, the Head of Ukrgazvydobuvannya, opening the conference, noted that "Ukraine exceeds the volumes and rates of extraction development of Germany, Poland and Romania. Thanks to Ukrgazvydobuvannya, Ukraine is now the most dynamic market in Europe. We can do more and better than any other country in the Eastern. We all have to be proud of this". He also informed the representatives of the service market about the possibilities of cooperation with the company, about current and future tenders.
In addition, among the main speakers of the event there were the first persons of Naftogaz of Ukraine, DC UKRBUSSERVIS, Tacrom Services, Burova Technika, Schlumberger Services Ukraine, NOV‑Fidmash, MMS Holding Groups LLC and others.
On November 8, 2017 the trade fair's participant held the Seminar‑Presentation: "Multichannel Gas Signaling Device "VARTA Dispatcher". New Features and Applications". At the seminar the company introduced the gas indicator "VARTA Dispatcher" that has expanded functionality in comparison with analogues, has expanded functionality compared with analogues. The software was developed to operate and control the gas indicator. It allows to connect to the control unit up to 216 gas and temperature sensors of gas and temperature that significantly increases the control area of the concentration of explosive and toxic gases in the airspace.
In the Business program of the Forum:
On November 8 the Department of Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety and Civil Protection of Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine held the Sectoral Oil and Gas Section on Occupational Safety. The event was devoted to the issues on creation of safe and healthy working conditions at the enterprises of the oil and gas complex, as well as the personal responsibility of company executives.
On November 9 Naftogaz of Ukraine held the Roundtable: "Development and Implementation of Legislative and Regulatory Acts on Natural Gas Accounting and Metrology in Execution of the Law "On Ratification of the Protocol on the Accession of Ukraine to the Agreement of Energy Community Establishment".
During the event the participants discussed the following topics:
- the state of implementation of EU regulations on natural gas metering and metrology;
- new and existing regulations on the quality of natural gas;
- requirements for electronic measuring devices;
- metrological support of measuring means of natural gas volume;
- the state of standards harmonization in the sector of natural gas volumes and physical‑and‑chemical indicators measurement, etc.
In total in the above‑mentioned business events about 500 domestic and foreign specialists from Ukraine, Belarus, Czech Republic, Canada and the USA took part.
